In architecture and in the construction sector in general, stairs are considered the main backbone of the room. It is a unique piece, both in its design and its functionality. Depending on the interior design, stairs can be subtly adapted to the interior design or highlight a specific area or element.
On the other hand, floating stairs expand the visual space and favour a better lighting of the environment.
A levitation effect is achieved where the steps, using the same tiles as the floor, rise through the space floating in the air.
The steps can be covered with any Porcelanosa group design.
Customized steps are available, but the standard measurements are:
- Length: 80 / 90 / 100 / 120 cm
- Width: greater than or equal to 28 cm
- Thickness: greater than 9 cm
This system is designed to be used primarily indoors, but can be adapted to outdoor projects.
Anchoring: depends on the type of wall. Only available for concrete, solid brick and sheet metal walls.
Step Core: steel structure (S275) with lacquered finish and lateral reinforcement for fixing the handrail.
Adhesive: reactive resin adhesive for fixing the box to the stair structure.
Step box: OSB Class 3 (oriented strand board) or aluminium case covered with the Porcelanosa Group flooring collection (EN 14411:2012) chosen by the client. Supplied completely finished, ready to be installed.
* For a correct fixation, the union of these three elements will be made with a two-component epoxy adhesive.
